Volcanic eruption in New Zealand.
On Monday at 2:15 p.m. local time, New Zealand’s most active
volcano erupted sending clouds of smoke and volcanic ashes to the sky covering
the White island where the volcano was located. There has been one confirmed
death and is likely to increase according to the authorities.
More than 50 people
were present at the island during the explosion some were rescued immediately
while for the others search continues. Emergency
services are conducting search and rescue operations at the island. Most of the
injured are suffering from burns. Among the people on the island only 25 have
been rescued as the eruption has made it difficult for the authorities to do
search and rescue operation.

Island is part of the Taupo Volcanic Zone. Its eruptions have produced
both lava flows and explosive eruptions of ash. Its frequent
activity and easy access attract scientists and volcanologists as well as many
tourist.
