Best things to do during you’re Visit to Kathmandu.


Although considered the smallest district of Nepal in terms of size. Kathmandu makes up to it by providing different activities you can enjoy during you visit to the city. Most of these activities are in and around the three districts of Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur).

1.   Sunrise view from Nagarkot hill station.

The view of sunrise from the top of the hills of nagarkot is truly breathtaking. It takes about an hour from the city to the nagarkot view tower via vehicle. Along with the sunrise you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Kathmandu valley.

2.   Visit all three durbar squares of Kathmandu valley.

They are the jewels on the crown that is the Kathmandu valley. Considered one the most ancient areas of Nepal all three (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan) hosts a spectacular number of temples, literature, arts and architecture which reflects the culture of Nepal.architecture . The palace used to belongs to the ancient Malla dynasty. As such, the square remains the traditional heart of the old town. These areas carry the legacy of Nepal  

3.   Enjoy the local cuisine.
During your visit to Kathmandu make sure to relish the local cuisine. Made from simple ingredients such as rice, lentils, meat and spices. These cuisine are unique and mouthwatering. 4.    Visit Asan and Indra Chok Bazaar.
Considered one of the oldest markets in kathmandu valley. Famous for its authentic bazaar shopping experience. You can find huge variety of souvenir items of great craftsmanship and art such as brass ,bronze and copper items along with ancient style thanka paintings.

5.   Enjoy the view from Chandragiri Hills.
One of the recently opened attractions of Kathmandu valley. Chandragiri hills is one the beautiful places you can visit in Kathmandu valley. Because of the construction of cable car for visitors, the travel has been easy. But for those who seek thrill you can also take the hiking trail. The trail doesn’t ends at Chandragiri it continues toward the small beautiful Chitlang village. There are many other attractions such as paragliding and zip-flying. Overall it’s a family friendly place to visit. Can’t forget the amazing view of Kathmandu valley.

A must visit location on ones bucket list, Thamel market one of the most famous tourist attraction spot in Kathmandu. Filled with bright and colorful shops, thamel is a heaven for trekkers as it is filled with trekking equipment shops. The market lights up after noon. The streets are filled joy.
