Trekking trail of Pathibhara trek for 5 days

Trekking trail of Pathibhara is located in the most beautiful area in the eastern Nepal, blessed with spectacular landscape and Himalayan peaks, scaling to 7000 m, in the midst of a wide variety of floras, including different species of rhododendrons.  It is a short trek named after goddess Pathibhara Devi. Pathibhara trekking offers diversity of wildlife, birds, flowers and butterflies. The beautiful view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga range can be seen from Pathibhara trail.

Pathibhara trek is famous for the temple of Pathibhara goddess which is worshiped by both Hindu and Buddhist followers. The Buddhists of the surrounding area light lamps at the temple on full-moon nights, while the Hindus pack the temple during special celebrations. The Goddess at Pathibhara is believed to fulfil the long-cherished dreams of her devotees. Whatever is wished with good will, will be provided to the devotees.

Trek to Pathihara may take 4-5 days to visit the place which starts from Suketar (2840m) and after hours of walk lead to Phungling Bazar. Pathibhara Devi is about 8-10 hours from Suketar. Beautiful views of Kanchenjunga and Kumbhakarna can be seen from Suketar. From Suketar the trail passes through Deurali, Ramitedada, Chhatedunga, Bhalugauda, Phedi and finally to Pathibhara.
The best time to make trip to Pathibhara temple is from March to June and September to November. Pilgrims can also have an opportunity to visit monasteries situated in Olangchungola and Lungchung, the waterfall at Sawa and the pond of Timbuk, during autumn and spring every year. The eco-system of this region has been well-preserved, and you will also find it intact as you see different species of birds. Walking in this region is exciting.
