Trekking trail of Pathibhara is located in the most beautiful
area in the eastern Nepal, blessed with spectacular landscape and Himalayan

different species of rhododendrons.
It is a short trek named after goddess Pathibhara Devi. Pathibhara
trekking offers diversity of wildlife, birds, flowers and butterflies. The
beautiful view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga range can be seen from Pathibhara

Pathibhara trek is famous for the
temple of Pathibhara goddess which is worshiped by both Hindu and Buddhist followers.
The Buddhists of the surrounding area light lamps at the temple on full-moon
nights, while the Hindus pack the temple during special celebrations. The Goddess
at Pathibhara is believed to fulfil the long-cherished dreams of her devotees.

Trek to Pathihara may take 4-5
days to visit the place which starts from Suketar (2840m) and after hours of
walk lead to Phungling Bazar. Pathibhara Devi is about 8-10 hours from Suketar.
Beautiful views of Kanchenjunga and Kumbhakarna can be seen from Suketar. From
Suketar the trail passes through Deurali, Ramitedada, Chhatedunga, Bhalugauda,
Phedi and finally to Pathibhara.
The best time to make trip to Pathibhara
temple is from March to June and September to November. Pilgrims can also have
an opportunity to visit monasteries situated in Olangchungola and Lungchung,
the waterfall at Sawa and the pond of Timbuk, during autumn and spring every
year. The eco-system of this region has been well-preserved, and you will also
find it intact as you see different species of birds. Walking in this region is
exciting.
